2018 Judges

The awards are judged by an esteemed panel of industry leaders and experts, the judging is a rigorous two stage process including pre-scoring to determine shortlists and a judging meeting where entries are discussed and evaluated in detail to decide the winning entries.

From a transparency perspective, we may video aspects of the judging session to show on the evening and give entrants an insight into why a winning entry was chosen.

Having started off her digital career client side over a decade ago, Arianne has worked for both agencies and brands in-house, specialising in all things paid search. She is now back agency side supporting on biddable media digital strategy.

A regular on the conference scene, she’s also an editor and contributor at popular site State of Digital.

David Goddard

Global Head of programmatic trading, advertising Sales, BBC Worldwide |

David is the Global Head of programmatic trading BBC Worldwide, and is responsible for programmatic trading across the BBC’s Digital portfolio outside of the UK. David Joined the BBC in 2014.

Prior to the BBC David was responsible for Programmatic Trading at Gumtree, Ebay inc. David was at the start of premium programmatic trading in the UK setting up some of the 1st Programmatic Direct activity back in 2011.

David is also a Member for IAB Europe's Programmatic Trading Committee. IAB Europe's Programmatic Trading Committee aim to help Publishers, Agencies and Advertisers increase their understanding of the programmatic ecosystem and the impact it is having on digital advertising. The Committee will deliver a comprehensive pan-European programme of educational activities.


Global Head of Search Marketing, The LEGO Group |

Luis Navarrete-Gomez is the Global Head of Search Marketing for The LEGO Group. Based in London he is responsible for all SEO and Paid Search activity for LEGO.

Luis has over 15 years’ Digital Marketing experience in helping corporations use the web to drive online visibility and generate leads that have resulted in new business online.



Jackie Hole is an Award Winning independent Search Marketing consultant, and has been working in Digital Media and Internet Marketing for over 20 years. Starting out as an Interactive Media and interface designer/project manager for blue chip companies, Jackie moved into SEO & Affiliate marketing when becoming interested in 'this new Google thing'​ in 1999 and subsequently Adwords/PPC in 2004.

Jackie is a well rounded SEM Strategist and trainer with a unique set of creative marketing and analytical skills with a proven track record for thinking differently and significantly improving ROI. Jackie works both with direct clients and as a white label outsource for agencies in the UK, Europe, North America and Canada and is often thought of as an invaluable and knowledgeable member of any team. Highly visible and active within the SEM community, Jackie is an editor and blogger for www.StateofDigital.com and www.SEOChicks.com and more recently, a trainer, speaker and judge at various industry events.

Ben Irons

Ben is Digital Director at online retail marketplace notonthehighstreet.com. The site connects consumer to more than 5,000 of the UK’s best small creative businesses who supply unique and thoughtful products for all gifting and other notable occasions.

Ben and his team are responsible for developing and implementing a customer centric approach to notonthehighstreet.com’s performance and brand focused digital marketing campaign with his remit covering traditional performance channels such as SEO, PPC, Social, Content distribution and Programmatic Display while also connecting the CRM channels and placing the audience at the heart of their digital acquisition and retention communications.

Ben has gained extensive experience in performance marketing having spent time at Yahoo, Aegis’ performance agency iProspect and recently Ben has held senior positions in Search and Biddable media at Omnicom group agency PHD Media.

Max Macintosh

As an Agency Head at Google, Max is charged with partnering with agencies and clients on Google’s suite of ad products, across both Adwords and Doubleclick, and Mobile UX.  

His role encompasses working principally with Agencies, from Independents to Ad Networks to Mobile Specialist Agencies, helping deliver positive results across PPC, Video, Display, App Promo and Mobile UX.

Before he joined Google, Max worked at a few other US ad tech firms such as Conversant (then Mediaplex) and Yahoo Search Marketing, ensuring he possesses experience across a broad range of product areas, ranging from trafficking banner ads, paid search to app promo to mobile UX all underpinned by smart measurement.

Rumyana Miteva

As Head of Search at Secret Escapes, Rumyana has a deep understanding of the current Paid and Organic search ecosystem. With over 8 years of experience in the Digital Marketing she has worked for various brands and managed a portfolio of over a billion keywords. She decided to pursue a career in Performance Marketing because it is constantly evolving, which makes it equally appealing and challenging. Rumyana is a regular conference speaker - SMX and Hero Conf London.

Jon Myers

Jon is an experienced leader within the Digital Marketplace with over 19 years’ experience, and has demonstrated dedication to the industry over his career which has been recognised when he was awarded Search Personality of the Year 2017 at the UK Search Awards. He has worked in senior roles for large agencies, publisher-side with Yahoo, and more recently the Ad Technology space as VP and MD EMEA of Marin Software before joining DeepCrawl.

He has experience in Paid Search since its inception, and has also worked heavily in SEO, Display and Paid Social over the years. This broad range has given Jon a strong understanding of all sides of the market, a sharp business knowledge and skill set, and many connections across EMEA and the US who recognise him for his experience and thought leadership within the online advertising industry.

Jon is extremely active in the Search community, and is most likely to be found moderating, speaking and sharing his knowledge at conferences, webinars and events across the world. He also frequently acts as a judge for awards in the industry, including the UK Search Awards, European Search Awards, US Search Awards and Performance Marketing Awards to name a few.

Samantha Noble

Samantha Noble is the Founder of Biddable Moments, an Paid Media Consultancy Agency dedicated to helping brands increase their revenue through PPC and audience development. Samantha won the UK Search Personality Award at the UK Search Awards 2016 and was also rated one of the top 25 in PPC Heros ‘Most Influential PPC Experts’ list in 2016 and 2017. Back in 2011, Samantha also founded the Digital Females group which now has in excess of 750 members and has held 16 events to date.

Tyson Pearcey

Tyson is a digital marketing veteran with over 14 years’ industry experience. Simon Wharton

Simon has spent more than two decades operating within the digital sector, initially in a corporate environment, before becoming embroiled in the early days of the Manchester digital community. Alongside his business partner, Roy Wilding, he developed PushON out of an incarnation of a digital business. Steady planned growth has seen the business gain recognition as one of the North West’s leading eCommerce agencies. The business’ expertise in eCommerce development and its particular skill with online marketing has led to a raft of peer reviewed award wins throughout the North West, UK and Europe.
